“Our facility additions will ensure continued efficient operations with our expanded inventory and a smooth flow of goods to our customers

House-Hasson Hardware announced plans to invest more than $1 million in expansion and improvements to its Knoxville, Tenn. warehouse and grounds to accommodate expanded inventory and the addition of 50 employees.

The employees and warehouse upgrades stem from House-Hasson’s September acquisition of hardware distributor Moore Handley, Inc., which has resulted in 100 new employees company-wide.

The expansion plans call for the addition of a 50,000 square-foot mezzanine, six new truck bays and a major parking lot addition to its 350,000 square-foot warehouse in the Forks of the River Industrial Park. The new parking lot will be 50,000 square feet in size to accommodate the 60 additional semi-trailers that have been added to the House-Hasson fleet.

Construction in the warehouse and on the parking lot should take approximately three months, said Don Hasson, House-Hasson Hardware president.

“Everything we’re doing is because our company has grown substantially in the last few months,” said Hasson, president of the nearly 104-year-old company. “Our facility additions will ensure continued efficient operations with our expanded inventory and a smooth flow of goods to our customers. The result is growth in our employee family and improvements to our facilities.”
