More than 1,200 people attended House-Hasson Hardware Company’s January dealer market.

The independent regional hardware distributor hosted the dealer market in Nashville. Attendance was the highest House-Hasson had seen at a market, and included an increasing number of the Amish and Mennonite segment, as well as international customers, says Mike Woolf, vice president of sales.

The event produced the highest sales volume for a market in the history of House-Hasson Hardware. Dealers took advantage of bonus-buy merchandisers, buy-one-get-one-free offers, pallet buys, drop ship specials and spring bookings with extended dating, Woolf says.

Discounts and specials were offered on products from more than 1,000 vendors at the market. A new vendor featured at the event was Snapper, which displayed its line of lawnmowers and offered price specials to attendees.

This year, House-Hasson was able to offer better deals than in the past on Scotts products, such as Miracle-Gro, because the distributor is now a premier Scotts Distributor, Woolf says.

House-Hasson Hardware serves about 2,200 independent hardware stores and lumberyards in 17 states and the Caribbean.
