Ken Hines, House-Hasson Hardware Co. vice president and treasurer, is retiring after 31 years with the $200 million company that serves customers in 12 states and the Caribbean. Hines joined House-Hasson in 1979 as a credit manager. By 1984 he was the company treasurer. Eight years later he was elevated to vice president and treasurer. In his last role with the company Hines supervised six employees and had responsibility for credit management of a company doing more than $170 million in annual sales, with accounts receivable of more than $15 million and more than 2,400 accounts.

Hines is a past chairman of the Southeast Wholesale Hardware Industry Credit Group and the National Wholesale Hardware and Building Materials Distributors Industry Credit Group.  He has held memberships in credit associations in Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL.; Omaha, NE.; and Baltimore, MD
